Pedro Morera, Boat "Island ofLobos"
we are a shipping company that is dedicated to the maritime transport of travelers between Corralejo and Isla de Lobos since 1970. That year we started to operate the line with the boat "SORGUIÑA", an authorized motorboat for a capacity of 24 people ..
The Morera family -owner of the company- is originally from the town of Corralejo, Pedro Morera was the founder of this company and pioneer in commercial passenger transport between these two islands and the south of Lanzarote when, tired of the cabotage between the Islands and the North of Africa and seeing the boom of tourism decided to go to Barcelona, buy this small boat and, on July 16, 1970, the feast of the Virgen del Carmen, stop at the port of Corralejo, thus beginning this commercial activity between Corralejo and the Islote de Lobos.
The company grew and in the mid-80s we expanded our route offer and the fleet grew with the acquisition of a new ship, the POSEIDON, in charge of the shipyards of San Sebastian, a little bigger and with a capacity for 36 people .Most modern, comfortable and fast boat.
In 1996 we made a quantitative and quantitative leap in importance and started offering services with the southern part of the neighboring island of Lanzarote, making Maritime Excursions with food once the decision was made to acquire the ISLA DE LOBOS vessel with a capacity of 120 passengers and with which we are currently working, keeping the first "SORGUIÑA" boat active, which continues to be the Company's flagship.
Today we are one of the main shipping companies of Corralejo and we have a modern and very safe fleet.
We belong to the Lobos Group, together with other companies from the Maritime Tourism sector in the port of Corralejo. We currently offer the regular line services Corralejo-Isla de Lobos. In addition, the Lobos Group carries out other specific services such as the Mini-cruise with submarine vision, Excursions through the North part of Fuerteventura and South of Lanzarote, among others.
We also have a commercial department where you can hire customized trips for groups and organization of events on board. We are specialists in adapting to the demands and needs of our clients. We are a company that risks, undertakes and innovates. That's why we continue to grow and reinvent ourselves every day.
